The deals were pretty good at CVS today.

I used my $10 in Extra Care  Bucks to buy a Bayer glucose meter for $10.  That generated another $10 in ECBs, which I used to buy 2 bags of Ricola cough drops, 1 Pediacare infant pain reducer, and 1 Colgate Total mouthwash.  All were on sale, and I had a $1 off 2 coupon for the cough drops, and $2 off coupons for both the Pediacare and Colgate.  I bought all four items with the glucose meter ECBs and came away with $5 in ECBs from the Pediacare and $3 from the Colgate.

The glucose meter will go to the county “medicine chest” for people who may have trouble affording medication,  The cough drops and the mouthwash will go to the local food pantry.  The Pediacare will go in a new-baby gift basket that will be auctioned off at the church youth group fundraiser in March.

Approximate value of items donated today: $22

Approximate value of items donated this year:  $38
